Hi everyone,

Movie review for: Jumping the Broom

I went to watch this movie last night and even though there was a slight glitch at the theatre (all the movie screens went out), we were still able to watch it and it was a great movie. T.D. Jakes has done it again. Made another very sweet movie about the power of love. I don't know, Tyler Perry. Looks like you might have some competition.

Another great movie about the power of love is "Not Easily Broken" also produced by T.D. Jakes. When you get married, you will definitely go through some struggles and these movies are very real when it comes to some of the obstacles you might face as a couple.

Check them out! I highly recommed them both.

National Day of Prayer

Well I just learned today that our country celebrates a National Day of Prayer on the first Thursday in May every year. I celebrated by listening to some of Pastor Rick Warren's sermon today during lunch hour. It was great to listen to part of it at least. He mentioned 19 sins where we boast as individuals during the end of the sermon and they are listed below in English. (He translated it into English from Greek during the sermon)

1. self-absorbed
2. money-focused
3. self-promoting
4. status-conscious
5. God-insulting
6. rude & disrespectful
7. unappreciative
8. crude & profane
9. unkind & heartless
10. unwilling to forgive
11. slanders & gossips
12. impulsive & uncontrolled
13. loves violence
14. cynical-hates do-gooders
15. double-dealing
16. reckless & rash
17. puffed up with pride
19. choosing pleasure over God

Look over the list!! You know you're in there! Doesn't hurt to pray about it. "I can change" like John Legend said. Amen.

Cinco de Mayo

The day we celebrate an excuse to party in the good ol' USA. No one really even knows the meaning of this holiday unless perhaps you were educated in Mexico and let's not lie, that's not many of us Latinos in the OC. Whether we were born here or there, we can all agree that the day is not very significant. It is however significant for guacamole, margaritas, some mariachi music, and a good ol' time!!! Hope everyone enjoys the day tomorrow. There are a lot of different venues hosting events tomorrow with a live mariachi and specials on drinks and appetizers. Too bad I am grown up and need to wake up early on Friday to get to my 9-5er.

Have a great time everybody!
